Columbus Ale Trail planning: passports, locations and updates

Use the current Columbus Ale Trail volume, closure updates and exact taproom locations to plan a Central Ohio outing without relying on stale lists.

Use the current volume

The Columbus Ale Trail organizer currently advertises Volume 11. It says the passport is free at participating breweries and a purchase plus presenting the book earns a stamp. The published collection and redemption deadline is June 30, 2027. Check the organizer’s page again before visiting because participation and rules can change.

Avoid using a previous volume’s brewery list to plan the current trail. Keep the passport and the directory separate: this site’s city and region listings support discovery, not certification that a stop is currently eligible for a stamp.

Read updates before picking stops

The official page includes closure and relocation notices. That is a reason to check it each time rather than trust a saved list. As reviewed on October 9, 2026, it states that Nocterra has closed indefinitely and its stamp is not required for completion, and that Dafaque relocated to 1102 Gahanna Parkway.

Those notices demonstrate how quickly a trail plan can age. Confirm the business’s own website and the exact taproom location before traveling. Do not infer current opening status from a directory description or beer-style tag.

Choose a city outing or a regional journey

Start with the Columbus city hub for a city-based visit. Use the Central Ohio region for a wider selection across communities. Group selected addresses geographically, but verify each actual journey; no walking route or travel time has been measured here.

If staying overnight, compare lodging with your selected addresses before booking. A hotel in the Columbus area is not automatically convenient for every Central Ohio brewery. Arrange a sober ride and a meal option at the same time.

Check food and accessibility separately

A passport tells you about participation, not the current kitchen hours, patio availability, pet rules or step-free access. Ask the venue directly about those requirements. Bring a backup plan if a food truck or seasonal outdoor area is central to your visit.

Check the official redemption instructions only when you need them. Rewards and limited quantities are controlled by the organizer; this directory cannot promise a prize or handle passport support.
